Elle Decor October 08 - Design by Vincente Wolf,Chairs from Dominique and Ruhlmann
I love chairs, in fact I think it has become rather an obsession ... and the best chairs are the ones with tapered legs..so elegant, fun and interesting! I'd love lots of them, all in different styles, around my dining table. This top interior (from Elle Decor) is designed by Vincente Wolf, and its a perfect balance with the modern steel table, and the different art deco dining chairs. Combining them in pairs creates an uncluttered feel to the room. The tapered legs really adds lots of elegance, don't you think?Btw. I love the mix of wood used (but that's another story...)

Chair from the Thomas Pheasant collection at Baker5. Chair from Jacques Garcias collection at Baker 6. 1950's slipper chair at Century Design via 1st Dibs.
I've chosen some of my favorite chairs with tapered legs here. I especially love DecorFellow and Kelly Laplants Mowry chair; the light blue upholstery fabric and white wood looks so fresh! For the other ones I'm thinking Designers Guild Nabucco fabric would look great ?! I love that crocodile skin look!! :-) I'm also thinking jewel toned, patterned fabric would look great, especially if only used on one or two chairs in the room! I love all the new collections from Designers Guild, so I choose two with golden colors that would look stunning in my predominantly gray interior..

Nuevo Estilo October 08
I found this image in the latest issue of Nuevo Estilo, and fell in love with the use of different colored chairs, all in the same design. Grey and dark mauve is a sure winner! And I love those curtains! The colors in this room is so gorgeous! These chairs would be more than perfect as replacements for my antique, but nearly falling apart dining chairs ;-)

I love this dining room interior from Katie Ridder. Covering the chairs in a pink geometric fabric, and brown velvet is simply stunning! It certainly adds lots of style to an otherwise traditional dining room.
Sorry for all the italic in this post, but its some sort of Typepad bug ;-)
