artwork by street artists Dolk and Pøbel, Photographed by Rolf Aagard, as seen in Aftenposten.
This morning while reading my daily newspaper I discovered this amazing street art project in the northern part of Norway, and I just had to share with you the surreal beauty of the project. For a long time rural parts of Norway has suffered from a population decrease, leaving many houses to itself, in the harsh northern climate. Street artists Dolk and Pøbel (pseudonyms these artists use conceal their identity) traveled to Lofoten, and with the owners permissions, created these amazing works of art straight on the wall of these run-down houses.
Next year 10 international street art artist will contribute to the project, and I cannot wait to see the result!
Norwegian photographer Rolf Aagaard has captured the project with his camera. You can see more photos of the project at Aftenposten and more of Rolf Aagaard's photos at the Stenersen Museeum. Also Dolk and Pøbels work can be seen painted on walls in many big cities around Europe, so keep a lookout for their signatures!
