Say hello to Zina and Laika :-)

 

Say hello to Zina, the new addition to our family, and Laika, our summer guest :-) Luckily all the dogs get on well, and they are having great fun together!

Oh gosh...

The soft hearted husband has just adopted a 1 year old Rottweiler girl called Zina.... I'm very excited, and a bit nervous, as I've never met her before, and I really hope she'll like me! Her former owner could no longer keep her as she is a bit difficult, and he had the option of beeing kicked out of his flat, or get rid off the dog pronto. I was a bit shocked when my husband called ...but I'm a dog lover so we'll make it work ;-)  I'm thinking we'll have some hard work ahead of us.... but I'm up for a challenge :-)

She'll be arriving tomorrow morning, so I'll let you know how we're getting along, in the evening.

Speaking about dogs ....Laika, a 9 year old, mixed breed is coming to stay with us tomorrow as well! Her family is moving from a large house, into a small apartement, and for a period of time she'll be staying with us. Not quite sure how long, but at least for three weeks while her family is getting settled.

Btw. I'm thinking of renaming the blog : M&Co - around the DOG house ;-)! Just kidding, We'll still be around the house, but I'm not sure if you'll see any more interior pictures from here though...I'm seeing a future with lots of fur balls and vacuuming! Not exactly picture perfect!

Childhood memories

When I was a kid my grandmother always gave me those supercute embroidered handkerchiefs. I still remember the beautiful patterns and soft, delicate feel. Stichado has a supercute selection of embroidered handkerchiefs in her Etsy shop! I love her simple, vintage looking embroideries!

I'm thinking of freshening up my veranda... right now its too white ...white wooden fences, classic white wood furniture  and  a grey slate floor...its ok, but it needs a bit of color... I'm debating with myself wether I should go for the classic nautical style or using my favorite color yellow to create a more "tropical" feel...

What a week :-)! I've just accepted a job offer, and resigned my job! :-) I'm really excited, but also quite nervous.. I've worked in the IT business for the last five years, but my new job will be something completely different. In a few months I'll begin in my new job as a purchasing manager for a company importing bulbs and bare-root plants. I've loved my old job, but I feel this is the right time for me to do something completely different, within an area that really interests me...so here I go ;-) Just had to share the good news with you! :-)

Take your dog to work day!

Did you  bring your dog to the office yesterday? I just found out it was the take your dog to work day yesterday. What a shame I was out, attending a course on IIS, otherwise me and Hector would have turned the office upside down ;-) Take your dog to work day is an annual event celebrating our good companions, and promoting dog adoption. So if you like me, missed it this year, be sure to mark it off in your calendar and join in next year :-)

Btw. You can vote for Hector on Purinas Pet Chart ! I just discovered on Flickr that they had added my baby to their gallery :-) hihi what a proud mom I am!!
