Scott Laslie and traditional Home's Atlanta Showhouse

               

Sometimes I just fall in love with an interior, and I just keep looking at it again and again discovering new fabulous things with it everytime. The Atlanta Showhouse Scott Laslie designed for Traditional Home is one of those! I love the turqoise and coral color scheme, and the attention to detail is wonderful! 

               

Since getting the magazine (Thank you Rosemary!) I've studied these photos over and over again, and now I found out I had to share them with you as well. You can see the whole house over at Traditional Home (Except one image from the magazine that I loved in particular ...a white, wood console table, with a gorgeose picture (much like the one in the bathroom...but I cannot find any reference to the artist..) over it...my scanner has stopped working...so you'll have to get the magazine to see it ;-)

               

And how perfect would'nt this Axel Salto vase fit in there?! Love the unusual color on this piece!

Seed packet template for you :-)

Since you are so kind to visit me, even though my updates has been less than frequent lately, I have a little gift for you ;-) I've been playing around, trying to learn Inkscape, and made a seed packet for you to download, and print out on paper. I always collect seeds from my garden in the Autumn, and when spring arrives I give them away to friends and family. Cute as gift adornments too! (PS! If you haven't collected any seeds you can always cheat, and get them from your local garden center ;-))

I write the name, and year collected on the seed packet, and if the receiver is not familiar with the seed I also print out a small description on how to plant and slip inside.

I will be back visiting your lovely blogs, and posting more frequently here again when work has calmed down, until then I'll  still try posting at least twice a week here ;-)

The perfect summer outfit

When I get the first taste of warmth in the air, I always want to fresh up my home and wardrobe with beautiful summery colors. These items would be the perfect summer outfits, both for me, and my house ;-) And that supercool lounge chair from C.Bell would be perfect all year long!

The talented Bari J. tagged me, and has challenged me to tell seven more random things about myself. So here it goes:

1. My favorite rose is Boule de Neige
2. I hate it when people start a sentence with a stranger with you (Du in Norwegian) I find it really rude, and when someone unknown adress me with You. I can just feel the anger building up inside. Have they not learned manners?!
3. On the other hand I'm quite even tempered, and quite easy to hang around ;-)
4. I'm even told I smile too much.
5. This one is emberassing; I had to read the message for the answering service at the company I worked in and one customer called in to complain that I sounded to sexy. A few months later my voice message was replaced...
6. I want to add a French Bulldog to our family. Soo cute! And more space efficient than the two already occuying my house.
7. I always have to try out plants in my garden even though the tag says it will not thrive there...you never know right? ;-)

Apartment therapy: Saturday Morning Flowers

AT sent me an email telling me they used my flowers for their regular Saturday Morning Flowers post. Needless to say I was thrilled as this blog is awsome :-) !! Thank you Matthew for using my photos :-)!

Hepatica nobilis

In our back garden we have a woodland area which is filled with the beautiful Hepatica nobilis this time of year. I've just left it like it is, even though it is sometimes tempting to make it into a garden area, but in spring and early summer the reward for not touching it is magnificent, with the Hepatica Nobilis flowering in late March/early April, Windflowers a few weeks later and in June the area is covered with Lily of the Valleys.

Today I picked a small posy, making sure to leave many flowers behind on every plant. I learned this from my grandmother, who told me that this would ensure the spreading of the seeds and conservation of the plant.

Introducing The Husband

Ok, this is a bit weird.... I've lured my husband into posting his views on design and interiors from time to time on my blog, under the pseudonym The Husband. I'm yet not sure how this will turn out, but I know he is in the progress of preparing his first post for you...

I have, over a period of time, noticed how few men there are blogging about design and interiors. I love our predominantly female blog community, but I think it would be refreshing to see things from a male perspective. My husband is a typical man's man, and macho by default (Definition 2) but still he definitly has his say, and takes interest in the interior of our house. Other than that I'm not quite sure about his views on design, as this is not a common topic in our house, so this is quite interesting, and also a bit nerve wrecking for me ;-)
